Ray's Page

I named this page after a friend of ours, Louis "Ray" Fleeks.  He was a 76 year-old biker.  He passed away August 31, 2002.  I love him and miss him dearly. He is irreplacable and will be in my heart forever.

This is our friend Ray.  He passed August 31, 2002.  I have been crying inside ever since.

I met Ray a couple of years ago.  I grew close to him over the fews years he was here and feel very lucky to have had him in my life.  He lived here in Jackson, MI until February 2002.  Then he moved to live with his sister Lorene in North Chicago, IL.  He came up to visit all of his friends here twice.  He road by himself on his full dress Honda Goldwing.  When his services were held in Illinois, not many of his friends here could go.  So, we decided to have a memorial run for him in on the last weekend in September.  It was a rainy day, but that didn't stop us.  We rode to Battle Creek and stopped at a little bar, had a toast to our friend and headed back for food and beverages.  The Virginia Coney Island donated some of the food.  If the interest is high enough, I would like to have another run for him this year.

These bottom two pics were taken the day of the ride.  The response to having a Memorial Run for Ray was better than anybody could expect.  I said this before, but I may have another one this year.  We ALL miss him.
